does anyone know of a service that will show me the moment i get an email through my POP3 Gmail service, maybe somthing that is on the system tray or somthing?

Outlook Express or MS Outlook will show you have, but only if the that program is running!

Reply:POP3 is not an "always on" connection based protocol, so you only get updates when you connect to the server.
There is no way to change this. However you can change the frequency your POP3 client checks mail. Set it to the lowest time it allows (probably 1 minute) and at least it will be much faster.
