Unable to receive pop3 email. I get message saying it may be busy, I know that is not true.?
I am also having this issue with my Pop3 accounts. Everything busted week before last. I have been round and round with my host and they have tested my account inside and out. Everything on the server end for the email originating is A OK. I can get to it fine directly in webmail on that server, however I get the busy error every time I try to download from it. And I know it is not busy. Yahoo did do some sort of upgrade or change in their system recently so I think that has something to do with it...not that anyone can figure it out, admit to it or make any progress to resolve the issue thus far... It is very frustrating as I do my business through this one portal. I cannot afford to check multiple accounts at various web locations all day long it is way too time consuming. The only response I have had from Yahoo is to point the finger away from themselves at best. Nothing promising I'm afraid.
Reply:I am having the same issue. I contacted Yahoo and they said the were aware of the problem and were forwarding it on to their engineering department. This is becoming a real inconvenience. The whole point to using this service is to make life a little simpler. It's not working!!
Reply:I have the same issue. The external POP server was checked by the administators and it is fine. I believe them because I have no problems accessing the external POP server using other clients. Yahoo Mail is the only one that doesn't work.
Reply:Have exact same problem. Have been using this function for over two year and it was working fine until middle of last week.
Reply:I am also having the same problem with two different domains. It was working fine until yesterday 5/26. It must be a Yahoo! mail problem.
Reply:This just started with me today (5/30) - I recently got a new operating system and am curious if that may be the problem. Are you on Vista?
