How do I find out what my incoming mail POP3 server and outgoing email server are?

I'm trying to set up Windows Mail, and I don't know where I can find this information.

I need to know my Incoming Mail (POP3 or IMAP) and my Outgoing e-mail server SMTP.

Thanks!

How do I find out what my incoming mail POP3 server and outgoing email server are?
are you referring to your yahoo account or an outside account like comcast, verizon or some other service provider?

if the latter, you would have to call them and they can tell you, if it is yahoo.

Incoming mail server (POP3): plus.pop.mail.yahoo.com

Outgoing mail server (SMTP): plus.smtp.mail.yahoo.com
Reply:Depends on the email provider (internet side). If it's Yahoo! or hotmail, and if you're using their free version, no luck. They don't give you POP/SMTP access to the free email. You have to get the paid-for version (that is, get website hosting or at least the premium email service) to get POP/SMTP access.

For other providers, like your ISP, look through their help files or contact the provider. Likely it's something like pop.prov.com and smtp.prov.com or something really simple like that, and they'd have to give you "port numbers" depending on whether the transmission's going to be encrypted or not. So you REALLY DO need to talk to, or read the help files from, your email provider. Or get in an online chat with them.
Reply:You typically get this from your e-mail host provider, possibly your ISP. If you're using a popular e-mail hoster like Yahoo, Google, or MSN, you can find the needed info in their respective Help pages.
