i was just wondering if you set up pop3 with yahoo mail. Does the mail that you send and recieve go through yahoo mail servers get checked by them and then get sent to your computer to the client. Bascally, does yahoo mail servers serve as a median between emails being sent and recieved in the yahoo account and check them for viruses etc.

When you send an email using a pop3 or smtp client program it goes to Yahoo's server. They can check it to see if it got any virus and other stuff.
